About Devilcat Boats WA

Devilcat Boats WA is owned and operated in Esperance, Western Australia. Scott  Cooper purchased the moulds in mid 2013 and shipped them across Australia, from the Hawkesbury River in NSW to Esperance. Why did they undertake such a massive task of relocating the moulds from one edge of Australia to another? Because they believe in the quality of the Devilcat.

Scott has worked on and around the ocean since he was 15 years old. His passion for all things boating led to the family purchasing Moby Marine Services in early 2013. The opportunity to expand the business to include boat building was not a decision made lightly. Extensive research into the Devilcat brand showed the quality and performance of these boats was too great of an opportunity to miss. Together with Marine Technician and keen fibreglasser Jeremy Unwin, Scott strives to give customers the very best Devilcat experience on offer - Performance with Stability.

The Devilcat Boat brand started manufacture in the early 1980s in the town of Margate, South East Tasmania. They sustained steady growth until around 1995 when the decision was made to move the business to Queensland. This did not eventuate and instead the moulds were sold in 1998 to Ray and Kay Patterson. This saw the moulds relocated to Sackville North in NSW, alongside the beautiful Hawkesbury River. Ray and his team continued and expanded the quality range of Devilcat boats for nearly two decades. The reputation of the Devil Cat brand is one of quality, consistency and stability. The 2.0 -4.0m range of Devilcat as well as the 12m are still manufactured in NSW. The range being built in Esperance consists of the 4.6m, 5.2m, 6.6m and 7.5m Devilcat.
